We can see the face mask in the market mostly is blue and white. And some kinds are black. Meltblown nonwoven fabric mainly uses polypropylene as the main raw material.
Usually for the blue, white, or green color for the 3-ply face mask, the inside is white color 25gsm meltblown fabric.And some 3D mask like N95, KN94, some factories will use 2 layers of 25gsm meltblown for the key layer.
If the black face mask, usually the whole mask use black color PP nonwoven for the outer and innter layer, and the meltblown for the middle layer also will use black color.
And What is the difference between the two colors meltblown fabric?
Color:
White meltblown fabric is produced by the polypropylene masterbatch,the color is clear and white, so the fabric is white.
Black metlblow fabric is made by the black masterbatch. The more you add, the color will be darker black.But normally the color is not pure black but like dark grey.
Filtration efficiency:
For the white meltblown fabric ,the filtration can reach BFE 99% PFE 95% or BFE99% PFE 99% based on 32L/min airflow under 0.3um NACL particulate matter.
For black meltblown fabric, the filtration can just reach BFE 99% PFE 95% based on 32L/min airflow under 0.3um NACL particulate matter.
If you need to reach better filtration, we will suggest you to use white meltblown.
