What is the difference between PP non-woven fabric and PET non-woven fabric? 2022-03-30

We have production lines for PP and PET non woven in our factory.And in fact PP is polypropylene raw material, and it is polypropylene fiber. PET is polyester raw material, it is polyester fiber.

Compare with (PP) polypropylene non-woven fabric and (PET) polyester non-woven fabric,let’s see their characteristic.

1. PP raw materials are cheap, PET raw materials are expensive, and PP waste can be returned for reuse. PET cannot be returned to the furnace, so the price of PP is little lower.

2. The high temperature resistance of PP is around 200 degrees, while that of PET is around 290 degrees. PET is more resistant to high temperature than PP.

3. For the non-woven printing or heat transfer printing, the same width PP shrinks more, PET shrinks less, PET has better effect, the printing pattern will be more clear. PET is more economical and better based on the printing part.

4. Based on the same gsm weight non woven fabric, PET is better performance than PP on pulling force, tension and bearing capacity. 65 gsm of PET is equivalent to the pulling force, tension and bearing capacity of 80 gsm of PP.
