1. Raw materials

Melt-blown PP is modified on the basis of ordinary PP. After modification, PP has higher melt fat and stable fluidity, while ordinary PP melt has uneven fluidity, and some excessive drafting may easily cause agglomerate polymerization. It makes the fiber thickness uneven and affects the air permeability and filterability of the meltblown cloth.

2. Production process

Melt-blown cloth is made of melt-blown polypropylene, which is plasticized and melted, and filaments are sprayed out at high temperature and high speed, and then cooled naturally in the air. The size of the extruder equipment affects the width and efficiency of the production of melt blown cloth; the quality of the die head determines whether the cloth can be sprayed, and the drum and transformer should be selected. Of course, the mold of the melt blown cloth machine parameters such as head, melting temperature, air volume, wind speed, and electrostatic electret also affect the quality of meltblown cloth. The raw materials, equipment and process parameters are well controlled, and the small melt blown cloth equipment can still produce 95, 99 up to the standard melt blown cloth.

3. Electrostatic electret

The filtration level of melt blown cloth is always not up to the standard. Usually, there is a problem with the electrostatic electret process in the production of melt blown cloth, which causes the electrostatic adsorption of melt blown cloth to fail to meet the standard. The structure of melt-blown non woven fabric is very simple, it is the function of a sieve like a fishing net. The gap of the melt-blown non woven fabric is actually much larger than that of the virus. The virus is about 0.1 micron, and the gap of the non-woven fabric is 1 micron or even larger. A sieve alone cannot be sieved.

4. Finished product storage environment

The finished meltblown cloth cannot be stored in a humid environment.


The filtering function of melt blown cloth is realized through the following functions:

(1) Inertial collision: Large particles directly hit the fiber.

(2) Intercepting effect: the medium particles are stuck by the fibers, and the geese are plucked.

(3) Brownian motion: small particles are messed up by the suppressed space, and accidentally caught by fibers.

(4) Then there is electrostatic adsorption.
